I'm new to LJ, and haven't had time to look around yet, but I got to see this amazing modern dance performance in Boston this past weekend, the 10th Anniversary season of Snappy Dance Company. I know, goffy name, but the dancing is just incredible. They approach, they retreat, they perform these extraordinary unexpected lifts that really let you know what the body is capable of. The show runs through June 10, and I might have to go see it again, taking my husband along.
His first dance performance was by Mark Morris, and he remarked that he didn't know dancing could be funny. Snappy has a couple of short videos up at YouTube, and a nifty website at www.Snappydance.com. And I'm not affiliated with them in any way, except as a fan.
